busy weekend

Was off on Friday, we finally got cable (digital with the dvr and everything) I am pretty happy with it. Then I spent the afternoon with my sister who was home for a weekend visit. Saturday My inlaws came up for a visit so a cleaning frenzy had to happen (my house looked like ww3 hit it) and yesterday I slept in and then watched more tv and went to my parents for a yummy supper of chinese food.

Today I start my shadowing for my position at work...I will let you know how it went later.

SOOO SOORRRYYY!!!

ONCE AGAIN I AM SOOO SOORRRYYY!!!

I know I have been MIA for a while things have been a little crazy, let me fill you in.

The position I applied for at work well I got it (happy dance), and in the mean time I have been subbing full time for another co worker so I have been super super busy with work stuff and super super tired in the evenings and have been asleep some nights by 8 (the nights I wasn't I was doing lesson planning, or attempting to anyway) so there for that is pretty much the main reason I have been MIA.

Another reason is I finally got this crazy flu bug that has been going around I started not feeling good last Tuesday and Saturday morning around 3 am it hit me like a ton of fucking bricks!! I am thankful that it was Saturday so that I am only missing today at work (to fully recover) and not 3 or 4 days. This flu is evil not only did I have a temp that couldn't make up it's mind as to be low grade fever, a high fever or a normal temp (reason why I am MIA at work today) but it included some power pukeing and diareaha (I know TMI). Just warning you that it is not a flu bug that you want to get.

Well I guess that is all I have to type for now tomorrow I will post how correct my Oscar Winner Predictions were, right now I need to go take my temp again I really need to go to work tomorrow.

once again sorry for being MIA....

Things are still crazy, the car still is not working.

Work has been super busy as I have been subbing full days for the past 2 weeks and I am preparing for a job interview (within the center I work at) for a full time position, I am super, super nervous about it when I know that I shouldn't be.

Another busy thing that has been happening is at work we are starting to prepare to get ready for the realy for life, we did it last year in memory of a co worker and are doing it again this year again in her memory but also for some of us for more personal reasons, this year it really hits home for me because my brother in law has cancer he found out in november that he had it after not feeling good for a couple of months, and just recently found out type and stage and has started chemo treatment.

Any way I need to go eat some supper.

Life

Sorry I have been MIA for prety much a week but life has been pretty crazy around here lately.
The main thing right now is...

The Transmission went in the car and that means, my hubby (I don't drive, details as to why another time) is pretty much with out wheels until a) we can get a new transmission or b) some how come up with money and buy a good second hand car...for now he is relying on borrowing my Dad's car and his boss allowing him to bring home a company van.

As for all the other stuff, it's a new week and almost a new month and I have decided to let alot of the stupid silly stuff go away, or forgive and forget as some people say.

But as usual, just when you think that all is going good, it turns out it isn't. Hopefully we can get things back on track come the middle of February because I really just want things to be semi normal again (I'll let you know how that goes)

2011 Acadamy Awards (aka The Oscars) Predictions!

Oscar Nominations came out today and I would like to share my predictions with you. This is my 2ND year in a row doing this and last year I was about 33% right. Not great but not to bad either, any way this year I am hoping for 45% correct at least. And please note with most of these predictions I am actually going by reviews of the films and my gut feeling to decide, since I haven't seen or have no interest in see some of these movies. I have been home with a migrane today so things have been pretty quiet today, but this evening after supper the migrane was gone and I decided that it was time to sort through some of the music on my ipod...and well that ended up with 669 songs left that is enough music for 1.8 days! And it is all stuff I like and will suit any kind of musical mood I am in. Sundays and Facebook

How do you spend your Sundays???

I usually spend mine sleeping in, and then doing whatever I feel needs to be done around the apartment, or running the roads with my Hubby...but not today, today felt like one of those days where I just needed to veg, and do nothing, so I did.

Which brings me to my second topic of Facebook...why when we are bored/sitting around doing nothing do we feel the need to check FB (Facebook) every 5 to 10 minutes when we know nothing has changed since the last time we checked?(This is how I spent great portion of my afternoon) I have pondered this over ever since I joined FB in 2007 in fact FB is how I met my Husband(well really reconnected with him but that is a story for another time).

I developed the theory today if your one of those people that have like 500 friends then you probably have to check your FB every 15 minutes at least because that is the only way your going to keep up with all of them. But I have 54 friends...thats it, and all of them are family, co workers or very close friends, I don't agree with all this friending this person because you met once at this bar or they were in one of your classes(guilty), or the fact that you went to elementary school together (gulity).

Ok enough ranting...any way I guess what I am saying is that my days of checking FB every 10 minutes are behind me, I could be doing more productive things, like what I am not sure of yet but I am sure I can turn that in to another post on another day.

It's late I have to go to work early. Good night

Reasons...

Good Morning (well almost Afternoon for me)

I am going to use my first post to just state the, what, when, whys and some other things that I think need to said, so people know what this blog is all about.

First I should state my reasons for wanting to write this blog in the first place so here we go:
a) because I have always wanted to try my hand writing one 
b) because I have a lot of random stuff up in my head
c) because I need to get all the randomness out of my head and organized in some form and
d) I decided if I was going to write out my randomness then I might as well share it will the lovely people on the Internet.

Next I should tell you about the title of this blog; Cotidie Effercio-Everyday Stuff,  when I was looking to name this blog I was lost as to what to name it, I knew what I wanted to write about (see above) but was stuck as to a name, I then decided that since I am just writing about random everyday things that are happening to me and/or thoughts that have been floating around up there for a little while that I would call my blog Everyday Stuff but that sounded boring and I didn't know who would want to read anything with a title like that, so I Googled naming a blog and one of the things that came up was to take what you were thinking as a title and translate it in to another language like Latin so I did, Everyday Stuff  translates in to Cotidie Effercio which to my eyes looks nice and to my ears sound nice, but I also knew if I just put that for the title then people will probably skip over this blog since they have no idea what it means. So I wrote Cotidie Effercio-Everyday Stuff in the little box and forever more that is what this blog will be called.

People reading this blog should also take note of the following things....
1) I will try to post a new entry every day.
2)I will try to make each entry as interesting as possible.
3)My spelling and grammar and punctuation suck but I will try my best.
4)How things are typed/ worded are how they came out of my brain.
5) I sometimes get verbal diarrhea and tend to ramble on.
6) I may or may not swear in this blog I will refrain for it as much as is possible but like I said in number 4 how things are typed/ worded are how they came out of my brain.
and lastly number 7) If you don't like any of my reasons for writing this blog, the title of this blog or the fact that this blog probably won't be very exciting, then don't read it.

Well now that all this wonderfulness is cleared up I hope that you all have a wonderful day, and will come back tomorrow to see what Everyday Stuff  I will write about tomorrow.
